SC State Board of AOH  Installs New Officers At Convention

The South Carolina State Board of the Ancient Order of Hibernians elected Ricahrd Smith as its new State President at its 11th Biennial Convention which was held at the Hilton in Columbia, South Carolina on October 5th, 2019.

The convention  was attended by representatives of the divisions and State Board of South Carolina.  Other State Board officers elected include Bob Dillon as Vice President from St Columba division in Richland County, Bill Toomey State Secretary from Joseph McGarry division of Horry County and Joe Deehan from Harp and Shamrock division of Greenville.

Also elected were District Directors from each of the five divisions of the state. The elected state directors are District #1 Paul Jenkins of Horry County, District #2 Dave Hart of Dorchester County, District # 3 Kevin Barnes of Greenville County ,District # 4 Brent Hall of Richland County and District #5 John O’Neill of Beaufort County.

The convention mass was celebrated by State Chaplin Rev. Monsignoir Ronald Cellini and Fr. Timothy Gahan. The State Officers were installed  at a convention reception and dinner followed the mass. The Guest speaker for the dinner was the Irish Counsel General Shane Stephens based in Atlanta.
